The year 2026 introduces important updates both in the Albanian tax legislation and in ProFisc, aiming to increase transparency, automation, and efficiency for businesses.

Key legislative changes

  • Clarification of mandatory invoice data when the buyer is an unregistered individual.
  • Extension of the import invoice fiscalization deadline from 3 to 7 days.
  • Stronger requirements for reviewing and confirming sales and purchase books by the 11th of the following month.

New developments in ProFisc 2026

  • A new Notifications Menu centralizing all operational, financial, and administrative alerts.
  • New “Get Invoices from CIS” web service for automatic invoice retrieval.
  • SSO authentication with Google and Microsoft 365.
  • Ongoing improvements and a new redesigned interface coming soon.

Dear ProFisc users, 

We would like to inform you that the official Tax Authority website has published an announcement regarding the registration of electronic invoices for the supply of goods/services in the framework of SASPAC projects.

According to the published guidelines, for every supply carried out within the implementation of a project, it is mandatory to fill in the project details in the field “Project Reference / Të dhëna për projektin” (BT-11), which must include: 

  • The Unique Project Identification Code 
  • The Certificate Code from the Regional Tax Directorate Register 

Example: SASPAC-2025-04-0014-DRT-TR-2025-0001 

The ProFisc platform fully supports this requirement of the e-Invoice service. The field “Project Reference” is integrated in the Create Invoice interface, under the Reference tab, together with all other reference fields required by the e-Invoice system (as shown in the image below):

]]> You can search for Taxpayer data while filling out the invoice or in the Search Taxpayer menu using NIPT or Subject Name.

If you search by NIPT, Profisc will return the active subject in RTP with that NUIS.

If you search by name or part of the entity’s name, Profisc will display as a result the list of those entities active in RTP that contain in their name the text you searched for:

The same utility helps you fill in the Buyer’s data in Create Invoice:

 

Please note that the search for taxpayer(s) is performed directly, in real time, in RTP through the corresponding web service of the Get Taxpayers fiscalization service.
